With temperatures expected to reach a summer high this week, 85 competitors are set to converge on Niakwa Country Club for the Junior Boys & Girls Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation.
The respective 54 hole championships tee off Wednesday morning starting at 7:30 with the Junior Boys followed by the Junior Girls at 10:37.
There will be a new champion in the Junior Boys event as Teerawut Boonseeor of Thailand is not taking part. A few names to keep an eye on include Grady Chuback (Team Manitoba / St. Charles Country Club), Kaleb Lambert (Team Manitoba / Elmhurst Golf & Country Club), Nathan Lepore (Whitewater Golf Club) and Terence Rafferty (Team Manitoba / Southwood Golf & Country Club)

Headlining the Junior Girls draw are defending champion Crystal Zamzow (Team Manitoba / Swan River Golf & Country Club), NextGen Prairie Champion Jeri Lafleche (Niakwa), Diamond Athletic Women’s Amateur champion Addison Kartusch (Team Manitoba / St. Charles) and Golf Manitoba Public Players Club member Cala Korman.
