Kartusch and Korman each fired a 1-under par 71 during Friday’s second round while Zamzow had a 2-over par 74.
Rhonda Orr (Southwood) has a five stroke lead on Hannah Diamond (St. Charles) in the Mid-Amateur Championship. Orr shot a 77 in her second round while Diamond had an 87.

Allan McDonald (Breezy Bend Country Club) shot a 10-under par 62, setting a new course record at Minnedosa Golf & Country Club, as the 2024 Diamond Athletic Men’s Mid-Amateur got underway. The previous record of 7-under par 65 was held by Darren Hupfer in 2007.
McDonald’s round included 11 birdies, six pars and a bogey.
The 32 year old currently has a six stroke lead on Michael Coutts (Southwood Golf & Country Club) and Derek Cameron (Minnedosa). Both players shot a 4-under par 68.
Clayton Salkeid (Bridges Golf Course) currently has a two stroke lead in the Mid-Masters Championship on Nolan Tutkaluk (Shilo Country Club) and David Kuik (Niakwa Country Club).
Play is scheduled to resume Friday morning at 8:00. The second round is scheduled to tee off at 9:30.

Conrad (Team Manitoba / St. Charles Country Club) had the largest margin of victory in the Bantam Boys event winning by 12 strokes over Ryder St. Laurent (Team Manitoba / Niakwa Country Club).
Oakden (Team Manitoba / Glendale Golf & Country Club) claimed the U15-19 Girls championship by two strokes over Gracie McMillan (Team Manitoba / Pine Ridge Golf Club).
Austin Boge (Pine Ridge Golf Club) and Hayden Delaloye (Neepawa Golf & Country Club) finished fourth and fifth respectively on the leaderboard at the Future Stars Invitational presented by ATB at Northern Bear Golf Club in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Boge had rounds of 76-75 for a 151 total, three strokes back of first place. Delaloye went 75-77 to finish at 152.
Chuback won the Junior Boys title in a playoff versus Carson Inman (Portage Golf Club). Both players finished at 11-over par through 36 holes. Chuback made a par on the first playoff hole for the win.
After opening on Saturday with a 4-under par 67, Trstenjak cruised to the Men’s Championship with another 67 earning an eight stroke decision over Braxton Kuntz (Breezy Bend Country Club) and Jordy Lutz (Elmhurst Golf & Country Club). Kuntz had the low round Sunday at 5-under par 66 while Lutz had a sensational opening nine holes with a 5-under par 31.
Zamzow is wearing the Junior Girls crown once again following an 11 stroke victory over Keira Krahn (Team Manitoba / Carman Golf & Curling Club). Both players carded impressive rounds of 2-over par 75 during Sunday’s final round.
The 36 hole championship opened Saturday and will conclude Sunday afternoon with three divisions of competition: junior girls, junior boys and men’s division.

Once again this year, the winner of the men’s division will receive an exemption to either the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan or the Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship in Manotick, Ontario.
Founded in 2003 by long-time Elmhurst member John Multan, the Elmhurst Invitational Amateur Championship has become one of the highest regarded amateur events held in the province outside of the Golf Manitoba championship calendar. The field is continually one of the strongest of the year with most of the province’s top players taking part.
Past champions include the likes of the DP World Tour’s Aaron Cockerill, along with past Manitoba Men’s Amateur Champions Garth Collings, Derek East, Todd Fanning, Matt Johnston, Brad Kirton and Peter More.
