Golf Manitoba Executive Director Jared Ladobruk is pleased to announce Sam Beavis-Hickey as the new Director of Competitions & Rules.
Alongside his academic achievements, Beavis-Hickey brings a wealth of practical experience having worked six seasons of golf operations, junior instruction, and event management at Larters at St. Andrews Golf & Country Club.
A graduate of West Kildonan Collegiate, he played high school golf where twice he was named Most Valuable Player and once won the Sportsmanship Award. Outside of his academic and golf career, he is actively engaged in his community, organizing local sports events and leagues.
Beavis-Hickey will complete his final semester of his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree at the Asper School of Business, majoring in both Accounting and Marketing this fall.
Beavis-Hickey has already started his Golf Manitoba / Canada Rules education by attending the Level 2 seminar and Golf Canada Referee School.
