Brayden Boge (Team Manitoba / Pine Ridge Golf Club) and Jeri Lafleche (Niakwa Country Club) had the low rounds of the day in the respective Boys and Girls divisions as the Manitoba Summer Games powered by Manitoba Hydro opened at Gilbert Plains Country Club.
Boge’s 74, who is representing Team Winnipeg Gold, is good for a one stroke lead in the Boys event on Team East’s Brady Comaskey (Team Manitoba / Pine Ridge) and a three stoke advantage on both Team Winnipeg Blue’s Adam Blair (Team Manitoba / Pine Ridge) and Team South’s Ryder St. Laurent (Team Manitoba / Niakwa)
Winnipeg Gold leads the Team Championship at 237, two strokes better than Team East.
Carding a 77, Lafleche is 14 strokes clear in the Girls event of Team West’s Payton Oakden (Team Manitoba / Glendale Golf & Country Club). Team Winnipeg Blue’s Jewel Lafleche (Niakwa) sits third on the leaderboard at 92.
Winnipeg Gold also leads the Team Championship at 173. They are 18 strokes better than Winnipeg Blue.
