Clara Peake (Minnedosa Golf & Country Club had Manitoba’s low round to open the Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship in Victoria, British Columbia.
She made back to back birdies on the 13th and 14th holes along with 10 pars en route to a 5-over par 77.
Jeri Lafleche (Niakwa Country Club) shot a 6-over par 78, Addison Kartusch (Team Manitoba / St. Charles Country Club) a 79 and Crystal Zamzow (Team Manitoba / Swan River Golf & Country Club) a 93.
Team Manitoba (Kartusch, Lafleche & Zamzow) is fourth in the Inter-Provincial Team Championship at 13-over par. Alberta is first at even par.
Australia’s Momo Suglyama sits in first place shooting a 6-under par 66.
