Mike Walker (St. Boniface Golf Club) was the only player to shoot below par at Selkirk Golf & Country Club on Monday in the opening round of the Hodson Financial Men’s & Women’s Senior Championship.
Walker’s 2-under par 69 featured an eagle on the par four 13th hole and four birdies.
Walker has a two stroke lead on Brad Moore (Pine Ridge Golf Club) and a three stroke advantage on Dwayne Heinrichs (Bel Acres Golf & Country Club).
Walker is also atop of the Super Senior Championship leaderboard by six strokes on David Klowak (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club).

Rhonda Orr (Southwood Golf & Country Club) and Tammy Gibson (Niakwa Country Club) share the lead in the Women’s Senior Championship at 7-over par 79, one stroke ahead of Shelley Muir (Breezy Bend Country Club).
Orr and Gibson also share the lead in the Super Senior Championship, three strokes ahead of Matty Leung (Southwood).
