The 2023 Hodson Financial Men’s and Women’s Senior Championships are underway at St. Boniface Golf Club.
Golf Manitoba Director of Communications Brian Munz caught up with Gerry Hodson of Hodson Financial to discuss their ongoing Title Partnership.
Todd Fanning (Niakwa Country Club) had the low round of the day carding a one under par 71 to carry a two stroke lead into Thursday’s second round.
Mike Walker (St. Boniface) and Dan Scanlon (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club) are tied for second place at 73.
Jay Doyle (Niakwa), John Multan (Elmhurst Golf & Country Club) and Al Briscoe (St. Boniface) round out the top five on the Manitoba Blue Cross leaderboard at 74.
Walker leads the Super Senior Division by three strokes over David Klowak (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club).
Dwight Kearns (Shilo Country Club) has an 18 stroke lead on Rene Abgrall (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club) in the Forward Tee Division.

Defending champion Rhonda Orr (Southwood Golf & Country Club) has a three stroke lead on Fran Povoledo (Southwood) through 18 holes of the Women’s Senior Championship.
Orr opened the 54 hole event with a three over 77. Heather Shayna (Southwood) shot an 84 while Lisa Benson (St. Charles Country Club) and Michelle Gisiger (Niakwa) round out the top five at 86.
Orr also leads the Super Senior Division by nine strokes over Benson.
